Enter Sandman tab

Metallica tabs for Enter sandman Enter sandman is the first single from Metallicas 1991 Black album. The single alone sold more than half a million copies in the USA alone and was their final step into megastars. The lyric deals with the concept of a child's nightmares, while the music evolved from an opening guitar riff that Kirk Hammett wrote. You can see this riff in the Enter sandman tabs below.

The original album version has three different rhythm guitar tracks playing the same riff just to get the sound as huge as possible. When playing the same Enter sandman tabs you only need one guitar. The song is featured on all live albums and DVDs and maybe one of these versions is better to use when learning the song. With this song Metallica moved to a new direction musically, the songwriting is now not as complex as it used to be on previous albums. You might call Enter sandman a one riff song, as the whole song is built on the main riff originally created by Kirk Hammett. The song works very well both on radio and in big arenas.
